In a move set to increase connectivity and expand travel choices for its patrons, Etihad Airways announced its decision to ramp up its services between Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur. Starting January 15, 2024, travelers will benefit from twice the daily flights, totaling 14 flights a week, between the two strategic cities. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s stunning capital, beckons visitors with its spectacular skyline, crowned by the famous Petronas Twin Towers.

Beyond its skyscrapers, the city bursts with a fusion of Malay, Chinese, and Indian influences, delighting tourists with a dynamic culinary palette, bustling markets, and a treasure trove of cultural marvels. On the other side, Abu Dhabi never ceases to fascinate with its spectrum of experiences. From the architectural brilliance of Louvre Abu Dhabi to the thrilling escapades at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the city promises unique memories for every visitor.

All daily routes will feature the cutting-edge Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity. With this boost in frequency, Etihad is set to provide 425,000 seats annually between the cities, marking a substantial 75% year-on-year increase. Businesses stand to gain as well. The boosted flight frequency heralds greater cargo capacity, paving the way for blossoming bilateral trade opportunities.

Beyond Kuala Lumpur, Etihad is positioning itself as the top choice for travelers to Southeast Asia this winter. The airline will offer up to 77 weekly flights, encompassing cities like Bangkok, Phuket, Manila, Jakarta, and Singapore. This announcement trails Etihad’s recent unveiling of its progressive network strategy. Aiming for sustainable growth, the airline is enhancing Abu Dhabi’s global reach and catalyzing the capital’s blossoming tourism sector with new destinations, augmented flight frequencies, and even more traveler-centric departure schedules.
